Shortly after having my son, Jlo had just released a new album and the haircut on that cover was going to change my life.
I took every picture from the CD cover, put on my maroon velour jumpsuit and headed to a salon in the Valley.
This wasn’t just any salon. This was an expensive salon with well trained stylist.
I fully trusted that I would leave that salon feeling like a new woman. My best friend later joked that I half expected Ben Affleck to pick me up. (If you don’t really get that, just google “Bennifer”)
That was almost 20 years ago and now I know that it didn’t work because a haircut cannot magically turn you into Jlo.
I’ve devoted the last 7 years to the study of wavy and curly hair because I’ve been that lady devastated by a bad haircut.
I believe great things are born out of needs.
I saw a need in the curly community and built a brand with intent and purpose to help.
Now, I’m teaching others how to do the exact same thing.
Business and brand building is a lot like curls.
It doesn’t have to be complicated.
Think of me as the minimalist of this movement.
Simplicity is at the heart of everything I do.
I’m so happy you are here.
Love,
